Factors that influence on quality of the spanish educational system and its degree of social dependence

Abstract

The article analyzes the factors that have influenced the quality of the educational system in Spain. But beyond the study of the elements of the system itself -resources, teachers, curriculum and evaluation-, the degree of dependence of the same is considered, with respect to the characteristics that define society and that may be conditioning the way of understanding what education is. As a methodology, the research was based on the documentary analysis of the regulations and official reports on the Spanish educational system, taking into account, in turn, the contributions of members of different levels of education and multiple observations made in different contexts of work and planning. It is concluded that improvements in the quality of the Spanish educational system are directly related to the previous transformation of social concepts that have been a constant in the recent history of the country.
