Teaching activities with library support promote the development of educational technologies, whose purpose is to publicize the services and resources available to teachers to promote content based on technology and free access. Thus, the objective of this investigations was to analyze the results of a study carried out on the teaching support services offered by university libraries, based on aspects of the various uses of the Spanish Library Networks (REBIUN). As a methodological instrument, a survey of the public and private university libraries associated with the Network was conducted, analyzing three areas that present the support and service provided by libraries to the teacher: i) internal support organization for teaching; ii) dissemination of the service and use by the Service for Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), and iii) structure of the support service for teaching at the university. From the analyzed results it was possible to verify that most of the services are located in public universities rather than private ones; this is due to the lack of communication in the internal processes of each institution to make known what is offered in the Library Network. In conclusion, university libraries and their professionals must opt for a proactive attitude, without fear of the challenges that innovations entail, and as a strategy to address the phenomenon that includes new teaching and technical functions in their professional profile, which will allow a higher assessment and projection of his work.
