A abordagem mosaica, direito à participação e a voz das crianças na pesquisa educativa

O artigo de revisão propõe explorar e discutir algumas das inovações metodológicas no campo da infância e a educação, enfocando-se na abordagem do mosaico. Trata-se de uma aproximação metodológica - ainda não constituída como método -, desenvolvida principalmente no idioma inglês e que baseia alguns de seus princípios em conceitos como os da pesquisa qualitativa, o estudo da infância, os direitos das crianças e, em particular, o direito de participar de pesquisas realizadas sobre eles e seu mundo. Se apresenta um quadro histórico que ajuda a entender as origens multidisciplinares da abordagem. Por meio de uma revisão de literatura em uma base de dados que contém 71 milhões de referências, 28 foram selecionados que identificam a abordagem do mosaico em seu método. Sua análise apresenta um panorama diversificado em seu uso, embora seja focado principalmente na área de educação infantil e pré-escola. Foi concluído com uma reflexão sobre o uso que a abordagem pode ter no futuro e, em particular, na América Latina, onde seu uso incipiente parece relevante.
