La pirámide de Maslow y el proceso educativo contemporáneo: revisión literaria

Se realizó una revisión de la literatura producida entre 2018 y 2022 en torno a la pirámide de Maslow en el campo de la educación, con el objetivo de proveer un análisis actualizado del tema. Se hace una presentación descriptiva y analítica de los datos recabados en las bases de datos educativas Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC®) y GRAÓ®, así como las interdisciplinares Scielo® y ScienceDirect®. Se encontró un número limitado de investigaciones que abordaban el tema de manera precisa, procedentes, en su mayoría, de los Estados Unidos. El número total de estudios considerados fue de 50, representados mayoritariamente por artículos científicos. Se identificaron cuatro líneas temáticas que relacionan la pirámide de Maslow y la educación: métodos y estándares educativos, uso de tecnología, ruralidad y predictores comportamentales. Los enfoques suelen coincidir en indicar que la supleción de las necesidades de los individuos enriquece el proceso educativo. En prospectiva, se identificaron carencias investigativas en torno a la temática en Latinoamérica; asimismo, la escasa producción global identificada demuestra pertinente realizar una nueva revisión en años siguientes.
